Rename multiple files with a live filename preview
Rename files in bulk with find and replace, prefixes, suffixes, letter case and sequence numbers. Preview every name and download copies as a ZIP.
- Preview original and new filenames before downloading
- Replace literal text, add prefixes and suffixes, or set a new base name
- Add padded sequence numbers in selection or filename order
- Preserve file extensions, contents and optional folder paths
- Check duplicate paths and invalid filenames before creating a ZIP
Choose files or a folder, set rename rules and review the preview. Download a ZIP of renamed copies; the originals on your device are unchanged. Large batches are limited by browser memory.
How to rename files in bulk
- Choose multiple files or select a folder. Folder selection includes subfolders.
- Set a base name, literal find and replace, prefix, suffix, letter case or sequence numbering. Extensions are preserved.
- Review the filename preview. Resolve invalid names and duplicate output paths, then download renamed copies as a ZIP.
The tool downloads copies rather than changing files in place. Use Choose a folder for folders; drag and drop accepts individual files. Numbering uses the selected file order.
Popular ways to use Bulk File Rename

How processing and privacy work
Filename planning and ZIP creation run in your browser. Source files are never uploaded to GOATiM or another processing service.
