    Formats and compatibility

Try MP3, AAC, M4A / ALAC, WAV, FLAC, OGG / Vorbis, Opus, WebM, AIFF, WMA, AC3, DTS, AMR, APE, WavPack, AU and audio from video containers. Native playback varies by browser; the bundled FFmpeg decoder attempts other formats automatically.

Compatibility conversion creates a stereo MP3 for playback and may reduce audio fidelity. It downloads an approximately 32 MB engine on first use, accepts files up to 256 MB and times out after two minutes of conversion. Device memory and codec availability may impose further limits. DRM-protected files and formats requiring an external synthesizer, such as MIDI, are not supported.

Play MP3 and other local audio files online for free

Play your own MP3, WAV or FLAC files in a browser without uploading them or signing in. Queue tracks, shuffle or repeat a playlist, seek, adjust volume and change playback speed. The player tries native playback first and can convert additional supported formats locally.

Add music files or drop them into the workspace, select a track and press play. Native playback is tried first, with local conversion for other supported codecs. Conversion is limited to 256 MB inputs and two minutes of processing; protected files and MIDI are not supported.

How to play MP3, WAV or FLAC files in your browser

    1. Choose or drop one or more audio files to make a playlist.
    2. Select a track and press play. Use Previous, Next, shuffle, repeat and the speed control as needed.
    3. If the browser cannot play a supported codec, allow the local compatibility decoder to load and convert the track for playback.

Conversion can reduce audio fidelity, is limited to 256 MB files and has a two-minute timeout. DRM-protected audio and MIDI are not supported.

Popular ways to use Music Player

    • Play a local album as a playlist with shuffle or repeat.
    • Listen to a FLAC, WAV or other supported audio file, using local conversion when the browser cannot play it directly.
    • Adjust playback speed while reviewing a recording or long track.
    How processing and privacy work

Processing runs in your browser. The page may download scripts, fonts or processing engines to run the tool; these downloads are separate from uploading your input files.
