How to play Mafia online
Secret roles
Rooms for 6–8 players have one Mafia; rooms for 9–12 have two. One player is the Doctor, one is the Detective and everyone else is a Villager. Only you can see your role.
Night and day
At night, Mafia choose a target, the Doctor protects one player and the Detective investigates another. During the day, everyone discusses the evidence and votes. Town wins by eliminating every Mafia player; Mafia wins at parity.
Friends or computer players
Create a private room and share its eight-letter code. Empty seats are filled by clearly labeled computer players with local strategies and preset table talk, so you can play solo while friends join from their own devices.

Mafia roles and rules
- Mafia secretly choose a town player during the night
- The Doctor can protect one player, including themselves
- The Detective privately learns whether one other player is Mafia
- Villagers discuss, accuse and vote to eliminate suspicious players
- Eliminated players watch silently until the round ends
- Rematches keep the group together and carry scores forward
Play solo, online with friends, or as a party game
Use the computer players for a solo Mafia game, invite a small group and let bots fill the remaining seats, or bring 6–12 friends for a full private game. Friends play on their own phones or computers. Free-form voice and video chat are not included, so groups can use their preferred call while playing.

Guest sessions last up to four hours and rooms up to three hours; temporary room records expire automatically, and deletion may take a few days. Voice and video calling are not included.
