Rotate PDF pages

A PDF viewer can temporarily turn a page for reading without changing the file. The Rotate pages operation saves the chosen page rotation into a new PDF so you can share the corrected orientation.

Rotate PDF pages

THE WORKFLOW

How to rotate PDF pages

  1. Open Rotate pages and choose the PDF with incorrect orientation.
  2. Enter the affected pages or leave Pages blank for the whole document. Choose a clockwise quarter-turn angle: 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
  3. Preview the orientation, select Rotate & download and reopen the saved copy to verify the change.

PRACTICAL EXAMPLES

Choose the workflow for your document

Fix a sideways scanned page

Select the sideways page and try 90 degrees clockwise. If it faces the wrong way, use 270 degrees instead. Check text near all four edges in the preview.

Correct upside-down pages in a mixed document

Enter the affected page positions, such as 2, 5-6, and choose 180 degrees. Correctly oriented pages can stay out of the selection.

BEFORE YOU SHARE

What to check in the result

Rotation turns pages in quarter increments. It does not straighten a slightly tilted scan; Scan cleanup provides deskew for that case. When a document mixes portrait and landscape pages, select only the pages that need adjustment.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about this PDF task

Can I rotate only one PDF page?

Yes. Put its document position in Pages before applying the rotation.

Does rotation convert text into an image?

This operation changes page rotation without intentionally rasterizing the content. Review any interactive content in the saved copy.

Which tool fixes a slightly slanted scan?

Use Scan cleanup and its deskew option. Rotation supports quarter turns, not small skew corrections.
