PRACTICAL EXAMPLES
Choose the workflow for your document
Resize a PDF to A4 or Letter
Select a standard paper size and keep the fit-content option enabled when you want the existing page content scaled to fit. Check whether small text remains readable after scaling.
Crop whitespace around scanned pages
Apply modest top, right, bottom and left margins to the selected pages. Scans may have different offsets, so inspect multiple pages instead of relying only on the first preview.
BEFORE YOU SHARE
What to check in the result
A PDF point is one seventy-second of an inch. Start with small margin changes so page numbers or footnotes are not clipped. Cropping should not be used to securely erase information outside the visible boundary; use Permanent redaction when removal is required.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions about this PDF task
Can I resize pages without scaling their content?
The resize controls include a fit-content checkbox. Turning it off changes the paper dimensions without the same fitting step, so content can extend outside the new boundaries.
Will cropping permanently redact hidden text?
No. Cropping is a page-layout operation. Use the redaction tool and inspect its exported file for sensitive content.
Which standard sizes are available?
The controls offer A4 portrait and landscape, Letter portrait and landscape, and Legal portrait.
