THE WORKFLOW
How to add a signature to a PDF
- Open Upload signature, choose your PDF, then add a signature image. If you prefer to draw, select Draw / sign in the same toolkit.
- Remove the image background if needed and place the isolated ink on the intended page. Adjust its position and size in the preview.
- Apply the signature, download the PDF and reopen it to check that the signature appears where intended.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLES
Choose the workflow for your document
Add a photographed signature to a PDF
Use a well-lit JPG or PNG with clear ink. Review the automatic paper removal before placing it on the document. If a pale stroke disappears, adjust the background removal setting instead of increasing the signature size to hide the problem.
Reuse a signature saved in this browser
After checking the isolated ink, choose Save in browser if you want to use it again. Up to five signatures can be stored locally. They are tied to this browser profile; clearing site data removes them and they are not an account-based library.
BEFORE YOU SHARE
What to check in the result
You can save up to five signatures in this browser for reuse and remove them later. This adds a visible mark to the PDF; it does not create a certificate-based cryptographic digital signature. Confirm the recipient accepts this kind of signature before using it for a formal process.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions about this PDF task
Is this a certificate-based digital signature?
No. It places visible signature ink or an image on the PDF. It does not issue a certificate or apply a cryptographic signature.
How do I move or resize a signature?
Drag it on the page preview, then use the corner handle or signature-size control. Check the selected page and Pages field before applying it to more than one page.
Can I draw a signature instead of choosing an image?
Yes. The Draw / sign operation has a drawing area and ink controls. Use the drawing guide for a signature made with a mouse, touch input or stylus.
