- Choose Add watermark and inspect the downloaded pages for readability and complete placement.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLES
Choose the workflow for your document
Label a draft PDF before review
Use a short DRAFT label with an opacity that leaves annotations and body text readable. Check a dense page as well as the cover before sharing the marked copy.
Watermark only selected PDF pages
Enter the relevant range when a label applies to only part of the document. The page positions are the PDF sequence, including any unnumbered cover pages.
BEFORE YOU SHARE
What to check in the result
The watermark operation supports text. It does not encrypt the PDF, prevent copying or remove underlying content. A visible label can communicate handling instructions, but it should not be treated as an access-control or redaction feature.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions about this PDF task
Can this add an image or logo watermark?
This operation adds a centered diagonal text watermark. Its controls do not provide an image watermark.
Does a watermark stop someone copying the PDF?
No. It is a visible label, not encryption or a guarantee against copying.
Can I use a watermark to hide sensitive information?
No. Use Permanent redaction for selected page areas and verify the exported result.
