THE WORKFLOW
How to process several PDFs in a batch
- Open Batch processing and choose at least two PDFs. Check the list for duplicate or unintended inputs.
- Choose Repair and optimize, Remove metadata, Compress to images or Add page numbers. Set image quality and render scale when using compression.
- Process the batch, download its ZIP file and inspect representative results before distributing the set.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLES
Choose the workflow for your document
Optimize several PDF reports together
Use Repair and optimize for a batch that should keep separate files. Check documents with different page sizes and content types instead of assuming one sample represents the entire set.
Add page numbers to multiple PDFs
The batch numbering option numbers each document independently, starting at its first page. For custom prefixes or starting values, use the individual Page numbering operation.
BEFORE YOU SHARE
What to check in the result
Batch does not merge the documents into a single PDF. Each output is packaged separately. Compression rasterizes pages; metadata removal clears common fields only. Several large inputs and a final ZIP can require substantial browser memory, so divide large jobs into manageable sets.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions about this PDF task
Does batch processing combine the PDFs?
No. It produces separate processed PDFs inside one ZIP. Choose Merge PDFs for a single combined document.
Can I choose a different operation for each input?
A batch applies one selected operation to the set. Run separate batches or process individual files for different tasks.
Why does a large batch use so much memory?
The browser holds source files, processing buffers and output data while building the ZIP. Smaller batches reduce that load.
